The Jamaica Netball Association (JNA) hosts second Sunshine Evening
The Jamaica Netball Association (JNA) hosts its second Sunshine Evening next Friday at the University of the West Indies Assembly Hall starting at 6 p.m.
Hosted by Jenny Jenny, the evening promises to be one that will be filled with entertainment and fun with performances from some of Jamaica's most esteemed entertainers such as Konshens, Etana, Omari and Pam Hall. They'll be backed by Errol Lee and the Bare Essentials band.
According to president of the JNA, Marva Bernard, "Our main fund-raising event this year will be Sunshine Evening. This is the second time that we are staging this event and its proceeds will assist us to finance our Sunshine Girls to the 2011 World Netball Championships in Singapore."
In 2008, the JNA successfully hosted the first Sunshine Evening in order to send the national team to the 2009 World Youth Championships. In that series, they successfully improved on their fourth-place position by winning the bronze medal. Bernard further urged patrons and especially corporate Jamaica to support this venture as, "It will be an evening of top-class entertainment, delectable cuisine and the opportunity to mingle in the spacious Assembly Hall at the UWI. Entertainment will include performances by Jamaican entertainers, dancers and models from Pulse."
Apart from the live entertainment, a fashion show will be staged by Liguanea Fashions, Loran V and Cinderella Hats. The Sunshine Girls will be showcasing the designs onstage.
The contribution to attend Sunshine Evening is $2,000.
