NOTE-WORTHY
May God have mercy on us all
I regret profoundly the loss of human life as a consequence of the impasse between the Government and the Tivoli Gardens community of west Kingston.
I pray that when the dust has settled, the relevant authorities of the ministries of health and social security, as well as the churches, will provide counselling to the many who are grieving the loss of loved ones, have been temporarily dislocated from home and business, and have lost their freedom.
May God have mercy on us all.

PM getting cold feet
The prime minister called a state of emergency, so why is he getting cold feet now? You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Any famous professionals from Tivoli?
Eddie Seaga sees the creation of Tivoli as an accomplishment. If this is an accomplishment, will Seaga give the nation some names of a few famous professionals, that is, lawyers, doctors, engineers, etc., who Tivoli produced.

Expand the search for guns
I would like that, now that the security forces are in a operation in Tivoli, they do not leave until they visit every house and have members of the house hand over whatever gun or ammunition that may be in their possession.
This is not to say everybody has or knows about guns. There should be no arrest during the operation, which should be extended to other areas, and there should be no anoncement which area will be seached next.

Tivoli massacre cannot be hidden
I have been closely following the unfortunate and tragic events that have taken place recently in Tivoli Gardens, and I think it is full time for Jamaicans to face the facts as they are.
Despite our political affiliations and our justified dislike for those murdering criminals, what took place in Tivoli was clearly a massacre, and no amount of cover up can hide that fact.
Bruce Golding must go now if the order was his to shoot on sight.
