Go for Wisdom's Awesome Reward

Following her close second to REGGAE PRINCESS in a fast-run 1200 metre race on May 15, AWESOME REWARD should go one better against seven opponents in the restricted allowance V feature over 1300 metres, for the Henry George Harrison Sr. Memorial Cup (non winners of two) at Caymanas Park today.

Among her rivals are the highly fancied SEEK GOLD, who was a fast-finishing third in the race won by REGGAE PRINCESS, as well as STOCK MARKET and the speedy SKIPAWAY PRINCE.

Indications are that the winner will come from the above-mentioned quartet and despite the small field, it should be an interesting event.

However, AWESOME REWARD showed good pace when beaten three-quarter lengths by REGGAE PRINCESS.

She actually caught and headed the long-time leader, REGGAE PRINCESS, a furlong out, but the Wayne DaCosta-trained filly rallied strongly under Omar Walker to regain the lead at a crucial stage, winning in the fairly good time of 1:13.4.

AWESOME REWARD also finished second behind a fast time to CLASSICAL BULLET over the straight in her previous race on May 8 and is really knocking at the door.

I expect her to race in close touch of SKIPAWAY PRINCESS and CIO MOTO, who are expected to lead, before pouncing from the quarter pole.

The four-year-old filly from the stables of Delroy Wisdom should get first run over the closers, SEEK GOLD and STOCK MARKET, and I expect her to hold them at bay in the closing stages.

Pick-9 up to $14.3m

On a day when the Pick-9 carryover stands at a whopping $14.3 million, the American filly, BELOW THE WAIST, should score an overdue win in the opening race over 1600 metres for imported three-year-olds and up.

Trained by Anthony 'Baba' Nunes, BELOW THE WAIST lost narrowly to GO MY ROBIN in the grade-one Bonnie Blue Flag Trophy over 1820 metres recently and with less to do here, should win from BURST OF ENERGY.

I also like MISS ATLANTIC STAR in the second race over 1600 metres; JEOPARDY in the fifth; PALATINE in the seventh; FLAGAMAN over CENTANNI in the eighth; and CLASS ACT to go all the way in the closing sprint race, the Alex's Imports Dig Out Handicap.
