Golding-Dudus saga: A spiritual perspective

THERE IS no power given to man but of God. There is no wisdom, knowledge or understanding elsewhere but with God. In fact, He catches the wise in their own craftiness and turns wise men backward and makes their knowledge foolish (Romans 13:1; Job 5:13; James 1:5; Isaiah 44:25).

He allows what He chooses to allow, and what He does not allow, no one can force. He puts one down and sets one up. He rules and reigns in the affairs of men (Psalms 75:7).

Any time in human history when God decides to draw humans' attention to Himself, He will create a scene and He is always the great actor. In most cases, the scene begins with negatives which culminate in the positives. He stirs up the enemies to cause mayhem. This puts His children and/or a nation in what seems to be catastrophe or danger. He would take His children through it by His mighty power, and punish the enemies while all honour and glory and praise are ascribed to Him.

God uses the good and the bad, the righteous and the wicked (especially when they are adamant) to achieve His purpose. The event that led to the persecution of the three Hebrew boys was negative, but God showed up to glorify His name, used the episode to change the course of nations and promote His children. The event that led to the exodus of the children of Israel from Egypt was negative with the 10 plagues, but God showed up by His mighty and outstretched hand to deliver His people, and utterly drowned the enemies. The episode that put Daniel in the den of lions, God allowed, and caused kings and nations, tribes and tongues to acknowledge that the same God who rules the Heavens and the Earth is the same that rules beneath the Earth.

Spiritual gorillas

The gangster syndrome from the '70s, with its drugs, guns and human sacrifice, has rendered the nation captive in the hands of spiritual gorillas, vampires and Goliaths who have been devouring and devouring, but with God it is not irrevocable. He will turn it around for good.

Without political bias, God picked different prime ministers to govern this island and to carry out a specific task according to His purpose from both major political parties, regardless of their strengths and weaknesses. He uses the strength in men to benefit humanities and turns their weaknesses around to glorify His name. God's strength manifests mostly in our weaknesses. (2 Corinthians 12:10).

Having been bombarded with the most gruesome problem in our nation, those who can fast and pray have done marathons, either as a joint effort by certain churches, individual denominations, or individual churches; yet we have not reached the root of the problems. However, God has sent messages - locally and overseas to us in Jamaica - that He has heard our cry and is coming to our help. God needs somebody at this point, in this season, in the position of a prime minister who can lead us to the root of our problems, knowingly or unknowingly to him, irrespective of his strengths and weaknesses. I believe that no political leader in this nation would want to venture into this by choice. But it is evident that God has chosen Mr Bruce Golding to fulfil His divine mandate at this time.

I believe this is on God's agenda. He is perfect in all His ways and His calling is without repentance (Psalm 18:30; Romans 11:29).

Amid numerous prophetic proclamations past and present, written or orally transmitted, one can deduce that Jamaica - a nation in the heart of God - will be on the world scene to the glory of His name.

Reggae music and sports

He has used Bob Marley, reggae music and sports in the past decades to draw the world's attention to this nation in preparation for what He is going to burst out in this century that will ignite the world and harvest souls to His kingdom.

God spoke to my church prophetically through His man-servant Bishop Joseph Ade-Gold at our 2007-08 watchnight service saying:

"The city of Kingston will have a giant that will rise up. Not human, but a human demon. Go into seven days of fasting as soon as the giant arises. The root is deep and has gone far and near. I will give you the mandate to uproot. I did not say cut or pull down, but uproot! With seven days of fasting I shall defeat your enemies."

This we humbly carried out in the name of the Lord. Jamaica is ready. The platform is set for another show on Earth, and the mayhem in the month of May 2010 is to draw our attention to a major positive turnaround that the world will have to reckon with. A shift is taking place in the heavenly realm. The spiritual climate is pregnant and ready to give birth.

I, therefore, implore the prime minister to call for a national day of fasting and prayer for repentance and cleansing, according to 2 Chronicles 7:14, for a major turnaround. I heard the prime minister saying at a conference with T.D. Jakes in December 2008 that he wanted revival to break out in Jamaica, and when that happened he wants to be in the congregation. Well, now is the time to put things in place nation-wide.

I presume God used the extradition request as the annunciation, while the Manatt episode serves as a 'catalyst-galvanised fiasco' that has sped up the whole journey leading us to the root of our problems.

Also, I implore Mr Christopher 'Dudus' Coke to seek the Lord with all his heart and with all his might. His salvation can bring his followers to the kingdom of God.

God Bless Jamaica!
