A Blessing for Fathers begins today
The sounds of gospel music will soothe fathers across the island this evening, as the West Lawn of King's House becomes the scene of an ode to the men who keep our society from falling apart.
The role of fathers has continuously been overshadowed, and the idea of motherhood has been held up for all to see and give respect to. It should be respected.
But so should the importance of men in the society. Those that have earned the love and respect of their children are to be admired. Those who have seen it fit to take responsibility for their actions must be lauded.
With that in mind, A Blessing for Fathers presents Andrae and Sandra Crouch, Judy Mowatt, Chevelle Franklyn, Jon Williams and Friends and Nadje Leslie.
The artistes bringing fine music to the fathers will begin at 6 p.m.. Gates open at 4:30 p.m.
