The final night of Caribbean Fashionweek's (CFW) 10th anniversary celebration came to a close as each designer pulled out all the stops to ensure patrons were sufficiently satisfied on Sunday.

Designers went big with fashions.

Yardmanstlye with his all-male collection was one of the night's favourites.

He focused mainly on t-shirts for men and the music he used got the audience involved, many grooving to the wide array of hits that were played.

Models like Oraine Barrett and Khalil Marks received a hearty round of applause as they strutted down the catwalk and involved the audience, asking them to up the energy levels inside the National Indoor Sports Complex.

Another designer that rocked the CFW runway and had one of the best showcases of the night was Earl 'Biggy' Turner.

Jaunel McKenzie, Carla Campbell and a host of other CFW models took to the runway to showcase Biggy's skimpy, eclectic but trendy designs. As they sashayed down the catwalk one after the other, the rounds of applause continuously increased.

Despite the very long pauses, the show ran smoothly.

Una Morgan had her first solo performance of her career, you could tell.

She proved to be very flat and did not engage the audience. At certain parts of her performance many persons in the audience quietly asked if she was lip-synching. She was later joined by her brother, Gramps Morgan, who saved the performance.

Much needed excitement

Byron Lee and the Dragonaires soon brought back some much needed excitement, through its lead singer-turned-fashion designer Ashley Martin.

A woman who has shown she has her very own sense of style, Martin entered CFW for the very first time, and rocked the runway with very colourful, risqué and edgy ensembles. At the end of her showcase, a very relieved Martin took to the runway and hailed the audience, as she received thunderous applause and a standing ovation.

The Gleaner caught up with Martin after her showing, dubbed Attitude. She was ecstatic.

"I did it, I rocked it like never before," she screamed with unbridled delight.
