Coke's capture
Below is a sampling of online readers' reactions to Wednesday's capture of Christopher 'Dudus' Coke.
I am happy that Christopher Coke is now in the hands of the Jamaican authorities; however, I am afraid for him. He is not safe because he knows too much about the corruption taking place among the rich and powerful in Jamaica.
His safety is utmost at this time because we need him to expose the criminals wherever they may be - in the Church, in the Senate, in the House of Representatives, or in the police force. We know they are there, we just need to have them pointed out so the problems can be cleaned up. Whether they be PNP, JLP, or ministers and policemen or judges, they must be identified so the people of Jamaica can clean up their mess that has been festering for the last 40 years.

I am glad they have caught Christopher Coke (Dudus). I just know that we are now going to have a better country and a better people.

Now what! So Dudus has been caught; does this mean that the respectable commissioner of police will be doing some well-needed and overdue house cleaning? Will the honourable House be cleansed too? We need to wake up and not only smell the coffee but also realise that it is hot and steaming.

The real question is whether Mr. Coke was really heading to the US Embassy as has been suggested. From a lay-manÕs stand point I am of the opinion that the only way Mr. Coke could be legally taken by a member of the public to any embassy when a warrant is out for his arrest is with the authorisation of the court.
It must be acknowledged that Reverend Miller was the person who arranged and turned into the police two persons who are related to Mr. Coke.
The few questions I would like to be answered are:
(1) Was Reverend Miller in contact with Coke all a long?
(2) Did he know where Mr. Coke was hiding?
(3) Did he make contact or was it Mr. Coke who made it?
