ONLINE FEEDBACK
Below are edited excerpts from online readers' reactions to proposals for pastors to develop a protocol for dealing with 'wanted men'.
What if a person goes to a priest and makes a confession that he had committed a murder related to an unsolved murder case? It would be the priest's duty to keep that man's confession confidential; so I don't see why pastors/ministers dealing with other crimes should be treated differently.

The Reverend Al Miller was not unaware or misguided; he knew exactly what needed to be done. If Dudus wanted to waive his right to try and prevent extradition, the reverend should have done that which was done after the party was apprehended. The result would have been the same. The accused is handed over to the authority of the state, and if the accused waives a claim against extradition, the person is turned over to the requesting state. What is in that that the reverend does not understand?
