Rain, muddy terrain aside, Osmosis: The Metropolis still managed to be a huge success.

Hundreds of patrons flocked to The Plantation, Caymanas Estates for the premium all-inclusive event where "luxury and glamour meet super all-inclusive, vibes and beautiful people."

The Metropolis theme this year was chosen to reinforce Osmosis' position as the trend capital of the party scene in all areas, which include food, bar service, décor, style and fashion. Always setting the standard and raising the bar for all-inclusive events, The Metropolis theme this year ties back to the definition of 'metropolis' - a city which is the heartbeat of any major country.

Awesome décor

The decor, created by Main Events, was very trendy and comfortable and patrons were afforded the opportunity to sit in different areas throughout the venue.

A new location meant something new had to be done for the patrons and although rain threatened to mar those plans, patrons were still able to enjoy all the offerings. Osmosis' new themes, decor and venues seem to provides a major selling point for new audiences annually.

Apart from the decor, great music and food, Osmosis is also known for outstanding fashion. This is the one event that is guaranteed to have the paparazzi out and about, snapping shots of fashionistas in their finest ensembles.

Whether on grass, mud or stones, fashion is a must and the audience brought their A-game last Saturday. While many ladies swapped their stilettoes for flats or wedges, others were very innovative with their style by pairing water-boots with their outfits.

The Osmosis Cabana City provided a more relaxed and luxurious atmosphere for those guests who preferred to watch. Hosted by The Gleaner and Smirnoff Vodka, the cluster of luxury cabanas featured the likes of Club Privilege and The Acropolis Gaming Lounge. Celebrity guests, sponsors and Jamaica's socialites were able to revel in the comfort and sophistication of elegantly decorated cabanas while enjoying choice cuisine and top-shelf liquor. All was delivered by the dedicated concierge service courtesy of Bars to Go.

Food and drink were available in abundance way into the wee hours of the morning, courtesy of Diageo and a number of caterers and restaurants. The premium offerings featured the full Diageo line of spirits, including Smirnoff Vodka, Johnny Walker, Zacapa Rum and Baileys, while the extensive food selection in the renowned food court featured cuisine from 11 of Kingston's trendiest restaurants, including Cuddyz, Rib Kage, TGIF, Habibi Latino, Pizza Hut and Dragon Garden.

Dedicated to providing its patrons with an invigorating experience, the Osmosis family had a wide range of musical stylings from Kurt Riley and the ever-popular Coppershot Disco. The party started slowly, but ended on a musical high, as Matterhorn took over for DJ Shane and had the patrons wining and grooving. The old-school dancehall segment was the clear favourite, as patrons were seen dancing and singing to their favourite hits of yesteryear.

Riley was in World Cup mode and dropped the 2010 World Cup song for all those patrons who had been glued to their seats watching the quarter-finals unfold over the weekend.
