Below are excerpts from comments posted by online readers to Thursday's lead story, 'Prove it, Lewin', in which Prime Minister Bruce Golding placed the onus on Rear Admiral Hardley Lewin to back up with evidence recent allegations of Christopher Coke being tipped off about an extradition request.
Taunting Lewin?
Bruce Golding and his security minister need to be on the same wavelength. On the one hand, Dwight Nelson is trying to keep Mr Lewin quiet, while on the other hand, the prime minister is trying to get him to speak up. Or is Golding just taunting Lewin because the spectre of lawsuits and the Official Secrets Act has been raised? Either way, the best time to come out with it, Rear Admiral, is when Bruce calls elections. Then we'll see how much time they have to devote to Official Secrets Acts and lawsuits.

Prove claims
That 'revelation' by the former commissioner of police is really careless, and although the media are jumping about with the information, I agree with PM Golding that Lewin needs to substantiate his claims.

Bring the evidence
Don't wait on history, Lewin, make history. You couldn't fight criminals like a soldier, so you turn to fighting politicians with gossip fence chatter. Bring the evidence and fight the battle to the end. Don't 'pop a one shot' and duck and run like a coward.
