DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP): West Indies spinner Sulieman Benn has been suspended for one Test by the ICC, after entering South Africa's changing room during the third Test in Barbados last month and taunting the opposition.

Benn's punishment was announced yesterday after he pleaded guilty to conduct "contrary to the spirit of the game".

The ICC says in a statement that Benn "inappropriately and without invitation" entered the changing room on June 28 and "provoked some South Africa players and team management", resulting in "a heated exchange of aggressive remarks."

West Indies next play in Sri Lanka later this year.

South Africa's Dale Steyn and West Indies' Kemar Roach were fined in the same Test for breaching the ICC code of conduct.
