The tense rivalry in the Mini Max Class continues today, as round two of the KFC/Hot and Spicy Go-Kart Championship gets under way at the Palisadoes International Raceway, Kingston.Weather permitting, the first race is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. President of the Jamaica Karting Association (JKA), Peter Rae, said the nine-race card promises to be a thriller.

"We will be having the super motor, which includes motorcycles and Quads with asphalt set up," said Rae.

The rivalry in the Mini Max Class should centre around the talented Campion College schoolboy, Thomas Issa, Jonathan Law of Grace Christian Academy and Fraser McConnell of Hillel Academy. Issa, who has a lot more experience, is expected to dominate, but it will not be an easy task.

Law, whose ambition is to become an engineer, is hoping to emulate Britain's Formula One racing driver, Louis Hamilton. The young go-karter said he is motivated by Hamilton's achievement. With that in the back of his mind, then nothing should stop him from challenging for the chequered flag today.

McConnell, who is the youngest of three children for father, Peter, always dream of making his debut at the Dover Raceway, St Ann. He wants to become a professional racing driver and compete in the Formula One events. Like Law, he also wants to an engineer. He is determined, and seems the ideal person who could upset the favourites.
