SOUNDS OF the '90s seemed never to have been as entertaining as they were at the Smirnoff Dream Weekend Yush beach party at Margaritaville in Negril on Saturday night.

As one of the signature events of the weekend, the mega beach affair was a haven for great entertainment, and with five premium bars, partygoers were able to get responsibly intoxicated by the Smirnoff mix drinks available.

From as early as 10 p.m., 'Dreamers' began pouring into the venue to ensure that they had an opportunity to experience the ultra all-inclusive festivity, and they were not disappointed.

In fact, the crowd was kept dancing until the last song was played at minutes past 4 Sunday morning.

Every 30 minutes, ZJ Liquid, along with members of Renaissance and Coppershot sound system, changed the era music would come from.

Music from the '90s were not allowed to dominate current hits from dancehall and hip hop, although it was the former which had the crowd in a constant frenzy. Music from that era is apparently still very much alive.

Members of the dancehall fraternity joined the throng of support the party received, Wayne Marshall and Bounty Killer being just two of the entertainers who made it down to Negril for Yush. Being who they are, of course, they watched the proceedings from a high-rised VIP area.

Following a successful performance at this year's Reggae Sumfest, dancehall artiste Aidonia made a special appearance and his presence was electrifying.

With tracks like Bad People and War Time, Aidonia had the crowd rocking. In fact, Aidonia had to do an encore and then another and another.

His hit song, Uku Bit, really set the place on fire, giving the women at Yush a strange dancing fever they seemed not to be able to stop.

Dancer-turned-deejay Chi Ching Ching told everyone: "We party everyday", but made sure to point out that people should be satisfied with what they earned from life.

"If mi a drink Hennessy and yu a drink Heineken, drink wha yu have! If mi have Clarks and yu have on Nike Air, wear wha yu have!" the entertainer reiterated, to much applause.
