WESTERN BUREAU:

Before the Independence weekend, Clear Concept described The Weekend parties in the Second City, Montego Bay, as "fast gaining a reputation for delivering ultimate luxury."

And after an exclusive escape of a completely different nature, the results are in: Montego Bay is the most exotic and inviting destination in Jamaica, thanks to 'The Weekend' that showcased lavish parties, exceptional entertainment at the most outstanding and luxurious locations that the tourism capital boasts.

The buzz in the town started on Friday August 6 at the five-star, all-inclusive Iberostar Grand at the beach party, La Vue.

Organisers Clear Concept promised, "Once you enter, you'll be catapulted to a different state of mind, one that spoils you into the thought of entitlement and total relaxation."

And that's exactly what decorators Thai Flora did by creating secret spaces on the beach; the group used blue and red, while the organisers selected a touch of European five-star entertainment, complemented by local entertainment from DJs Kamal Bankay and DJ Narity - making this event a euphoric experience.

On Saturday night, the vibe moved to the Luna Lounge at the Rose Hall Great House, with Amsterdam-based disc jockey Julien Lejay, Chicago's 'JJ Flores', St. Louis' Scotty Mack and Miami's Emilio Hernandez.

Maxi Priest and DMC of Run DMC completed the set, designed to be the Elegant Corridor's (Rose Hall) ultimate luxury event.

On Sunday when The Weekend closed its doors, those polled admitted, "We discovered, escaped and indulged ... and Montego Bay will never be the same."
