Across the island, people celebrated Independence Day in various ways. Over on the eastern side of the Corporate Area, residents of Harbour View had another reason to pop the champagne as they had a flag-raising and awards ceremony to mark the 50th anniversary of their community. Outstanding community members and former residents were honoured. Here are highlights of the day.
