KINGSTOWN, St Vincent (CMC):

Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago and St Vincent & the Grenadines (SVG) all confirmed their places in the semi-finals of the West Indies women's limited overs competition yesterday.

The Jamaicans romped to their third straight victory in Group A when they beat Dominica by 148 runs, and Barbados finished second in the group with an eight-wicket victory over St Lucia.

Jamaica topped the group with 12 points, followed by Barbados on eight, St Lucia on four and Dominica, no point.

In Group B, hosts SVG prevailed over Guyana by four wickets and reigning champions Trinidad & Tobago had to settle for a no-result after rain prompted an abandonment in their match against Grenada.

T&T finished top of Group B on nine points, one ahead of SVG, with Guyana ending on four and Grenada on one.

Semi-finals

In the semi-finals today, Jamaica face SVG at Arnos Vale 2 and T&T meet Barbados at Arnos Vale 1.

There will also be two play-offs for lower places, with St Lucia playing Grenada at Stubbs and Dominica against Guyana at Victoria Park.

Yesterday at Stubbs, three wickets for Vanessa Watts, as well as two each for Roshana Outar and Peta-Gaye Hanson, propelled Jamaica to victory, as Dominica, chasing 190 for victory, were dismissed for 41.

West Indies women's player Shanel Daley, the daughter of former Jamaica men's team all-rounder Aaron Daley, had struck the top score of 44, as the Jamaicans were dismissed for 189.
