Super League campaigners Cavalier recorded an exciting come-from-behind 3-1 victory over Premier League outfit Arnett Gardens, in the Claro Champions Cup football competition at Waterhouse Mini Stadium yesterday.

Loxley Thompson (11th), Fabian Swaby (74th) and Kemal Mullings (85th) scored the goals for Cavalier.

James Durrant scored for Arnett in the third minute, when he fired a powerful right-footed shot, which went like a rocket past custodian Everdean Scarlett, at his near post.

Thompson equalised eight minutes later when he tapped home a point-blank pass.

Cavalier also looked a much better team in the second half and went ahead in the 74th minute, when the fleet-footed Swaby slipped between two Arnett defenders to fire home from close range past McLeish.

"We are very happy for three points, but I am not happy with how we played because I know that we can play much better," said former Arnett player Joseph 'Dago' Campbell, the assistant coach of Cavalier.

Hugh 'Bingy' Blair, the assistant coach of Arnett, said: "It wasn't a bad performance because we passed the ball around a lot, but we made some simple mistakes and it cost us the match."
