Now I knew I was attending a water party, but with the intention not to get my store-bought hair wet, I was a bit annoyed that the gods took their own sweet time to end showers of blessing.

Forcing me to delay my journey to the event of all events, Marco Polo, but after another three hours of tell-lie-vision, I finally mustered up enough courage to venture out.

Shout-out to the reruns of The Bad Girls Club and Keeping up with the Kardashians!

I arrived at the LIME Golf Academy with a strong sense of déjà vu, as at last year's first edition of the event the rain had also decided that it would not miss out on summer's last party hurrah. I greeted friends, kissed cheeks and smiled with familiar faces then went straight to the popcorn, cotton candy and ice cream booth, but decided against the flavoured shaved ice as I did not want to appear too greedy.

Satisfying my sweet tooth, I surveyed my surroundings, and the set-up was simple, with every element in a practical place. I couldn't deny the good vibes that buzzed throughout the atmosphere.

The music was on point, and after a few rounds of partygoers playing on the giant slide and splashing each other, it was obviously time to hit the dance floor. Picture booties shaking, women's heads bowed to the ground and an empty condom wrapper. Can you imagine the excitement that followed?

Venue full

The venue could barely hold the patrons that poured in. I took my rightful place in the VIP section, out of fear of being crushed by the thousands of persons who came to get wet and wild.

As the night went on, I couldn't have helped but notice that there was quite a bit of girl-on-girl action going on. I took a few pictures of the action but had to delete them, after one female I had captured informed me that her father was a 'badman' and she did not want herself or her sister to get into any trouble with Daddy Dearest. Yikes!

Shout-out to all those who like to step out of the closet every now and then!

The party got even more scandalous. The selectors jabbed and poked fun at those who did not belong in the VIP area and showed their disdain for females who were sleeping around with everyone in the entertainment fraternity. Some patrons would not feel left out and added their two cents in the form of two males declaring their reputed lovemaking skills to the delight of 'hot and bothered' women that surrounded them.

I took that as a sign that it was time to take my leave, and not a moment too soon. The music ended promptly at 10 p.m, bringing the summer to an end.

I'm your girl, Meeshie-Ann Marie. Catch me as I move on to the next one.
