This week, I have an awesome review for you. I had two awesome computer displays at my disposal last weekend, which totally gave me a rush. I'm talking about the ViewSonic FuHzion VX2268wm and the AOC E936Swa.

AOC 19-inch LED-LCD Monitor

First off, this is not your normal LCD monitor; this is an LED backlight LCD display. Aaahhh, let me make it simpler. It's an LCD monitor that uses an efficient backlight technology.

These LED-LCD displays are the future of display technology, so I was extremely honoured to be the reviewer for this doohickey.

OK, first thing's first: persons hear me say new technology and cringe and clutch their pockets in fear of the large price tag associated with it. Well, for once, all you folks out there are assuming wrong. This 19-inch monitor is being sold way below the $20,000 price mark, which in my book is a steal!

Benefits of Buying

With me being a poor and upcoming techno writer (emphasis on poor), I can understand that folks won't just go out and buy the first thing that catches their eye. Anything these days you are spending on has to be a need, not a luxury.

Well, here is a list of benefits you would get if you had one of these monitors.

Better image quality.

Better colours and higher brightness.

Less power consumption than normal LCD monitors.

Conclusion

Since I have changed my TV set to an LCD TV, I have saved over a thousand dollars on my last electricity bill, as LED-LCD displays consume less power than regular LCDs. I would say this is a need - a need to keep JPS out of our undersized pockets.

ViewSonic FuHzion 22-inch LCD

This monitor comes with the capability to reproduce 3D images for games, movies and whatever else that will tickle your fancy in 3D. My joy was a bit dampened later on when I found out that to achieve 3D with this monitor, you'll need two additional components, including a top-of-the-line NVIDIA graphics card, and an NVIDIA 3D Vision Kit. The vision kit comes with a pair of rechargeable LCD glasses, an infrared transmitter for your PC, and a CD containing driver software.

Benefits of Buying

The only way you'll appreciate this monitor is if you understand what is 3D. So I'll try to explain this as simply as possible.

What is 3D? When something is in 3D, it has length, height and depth. So 3D displays like this monitor give you the illusion that objects are right in front of you in the real world. Now let's see what are the benefits of owning this device.

The ability to view 3D content with ease.

Less power consumption than normal CRT monitors.

Conclusion

This is an amazing monitor for the price. Although most may call it expensive, just keep in mind that this is among the cheapest 3D displays out on the market right now.
