Tuesday talk

Silent CARICOM

1.  Many people are wondering why CARICOM has remained so silent while the British authorities try to constitute a 'kangaroo' court in Turks and Caicos Island. Apparently, there will be no jury to try the corruption case of the former leader and his allies.

Excellent spin doctors

2. So the spin doctors are doing an excellent job of remakingthe image of the one in the doghouse. But those who know all, say the story cannot be complete without references to the many who were left homeless by his deeds or misdeeds.

Off the hillside!

3. This is not how it was supposed to be. The mother was used to her sprawling hillside residence and she planned to spend her winter days in comfort. Well, not so said the children. After declaring the house was too big for her, they moved her into a tiny nook on the flats and rented out the property. These are hard times and the money is needed, they argued.

Active skies

4.  Persons are claiming that the days of the 'light aircraft' are back, and some are telling of unbelievable night landings on the smooth road surface in middle Jamaica. Surely, someone is dreaming.

St George's Banquet

St George's College old boys - and girls - were out in their numbers for the Hall of Fame banquet.

Cultural Honours

The Creative Production and Training Centre Limited (CPTC) held its inaugural Cultural Medal of Honour ceremony on Sunday.
