Jamaican international Ricardo Fuller has reportedly dislocated his right shoulder while playing for his Barclays Premier League club Stoke City yesterday and now seems certain to miss Jamaica's October 10 friendly international against Trinidad and Tobago inside the National Stadium.

Fuller, who was brought into the game against Newcastle early in the second half, clashed with a defender and fell awkwardly before he had to be replaced by Eidur Gudjohnsen.

Fuller, who suffered a similar injury two years ago that forced him out of action for 10 days, was rushed to the hospital after the incident.

A major blow

The injury is a major blow to the 30-year-old striker, who was said to be excited about once again representing Jamaica, after last doing so in the CONCACAF Gold Cup lastsummer.

Stoke City manager Tony Pulis told reporters after the game that he was

anxiously awaiting word on the striker and that he is hoping for a speedy recovery.

"We're just keeping our fingers crossed that they'll be able to pop it back in," said Pulis.

The coach went on to state that he hopes the striker will not be out for too long, in reference to the players previous 10-day layoff.

"We're hoping that will be the case again," said Pulis. "If he's out for any longer it will be a massive blow to us because he is a game-changer. He's as good as anyone at coming on and making a difference, and he was bright and fresh before the injury."
