Reality television is big business. People all over the world have been captivated by the phenomenon of making television out of real life. In Jamaica, that has proven no less true.

Pulse will be riding on the wave of that fascination with a reality supermodel series.

Caribbean Model Search (CMS) Live was held at the beginning of September and now the new season of the reality TV series is about to begin.

According to a release from Pulse, another dimension was added to its model search with the introduction of Shontelle, an R&B star. Adding a different dimension is also a big part of the reality series, Pulse explained.

While still novel, the show is not new, and CMS Reality TV is now in its fourth season.

The new dimension, Pulse explained, comes from "new innovations expected to have television audiences hooked to its time slot".

This season the company will introduce two additional shows for CMS Reality TV.

For the first time in the history of the competition, the men will battle for the first reality TV series title.

The move, Pulse explained, would give women a reason to stay fixed to their television sets.

Petite women will also be a part of the show.

The Full Figure show, which debuted last year, will be back for its second instalment.

Eager contestants

According to Pulse, the response to the show has made the contestants eager to perform well.

The forerunner and marquee category with taller model hopefuls, from which most of Pulse's supermodels have emerged, is still atop the series suite.

Contestants from the top groups of the recently concluded live finals will get a chance to vie for the top preliminary spots in the TV shows. Also, other new faces are keen to join the line-up and be among those vying for this year's TV titles.

Auditions are still open and interested persons can visit, call or contact Pulse at www.facebook.com/pulsemodels for further details.

The season begins on CVM TV later this month.

Contestants will undergo a process of elimination after the execution of battles and, at the end of the series, only one in each category will take the titles.
