Miss Jamaica World 2010, Chantal Raymond, has been creating an impact at the 60th annual Miss World Pageant.

The contestants, who are being closely watched by globalbeauties.com, had been ranked before arriving in China. Raymond has, according to that website, shown improvement, and is now eighth among the group of 120 girls. She came into the competition with a number 17 rank.

The 24-year-old beauty queen also found herself in the top 20 after parading the national costume and doing a dance.

According to Dr Terri-Karelle Reid, former Miss Jamaica World and pageant director of the local competition, Raymond has shown improvement.

There has also been a talent segment, and Raymond has taken part. Those results have not yet been released.
