Former champions St Andrew Technical High (STATHS) edged Norman Manley 2-1 in their Group D Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA)/Pepsi/Digicel Manning Cup match at Maxfield Park yesterday.
The game was the only one completed yesterday as the day's other fixtures were called off because of bad weather.
Dujon Hylton and Patrick Richards were the goalscorers for the Phillip Williams-coached STATHS. Chevar Valentine scored the consolation goal for Norman Manley.
STATHS and Norman Manley are now tied atop the group with 19 points, one ahead of unbeaten Penwood (18), who have two games in hand.
"I am very happy with our performance because we went out and were able to secure a very tough victory against Norman Manley at their home field," said Williams.
"I think that this win will certainly lift the confidence of my team going forward, and we just have to continue working hard improving on our game in training."
