Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) awards tomorrow

The Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) will be hosting its annual Performing Arts Excellence Awards tomorrow at the Knutsford Court Hotel, beginning at 4:00 p.m.
Awards will be presented to top schools and individuals from the National Festival of the Performing Arts 2010 in the categories of dance, music, drama, traditional folk forms and speech.
The prestigious Marcus Garvey Award for Excellence in the Performing Arts will also be presented to a top awardee, determined by participation in at least three of the five areas of the National Performing Arts Competition, and a tally of points based on medals and other awards.
