Herbert Morrison Technical High School yesterday lifted the veil of invincibility off Zone B leaders Rusea's at Jarrett Park in Montego Bay, when they held the eight-time champions to a battling 0-0 draw, ending the 'Russians' impressive seven-game winning streak.

However, while Rusea's are unaffected by the draw since they have already qualified for the inter-zone round and have sealed the group's lone Ben Francis KO slot, it was a major boost for Herbert Morrison team which is locked in a battle with Frome Technical for the group's second inter-zone place.

In a game which matched the defensive courage of the Herbert Morrison team against the front-line finesse of the 'Russians', three players - Rusea's Toreto Gregory and the Herbert Morrison duo of Ricardo Jarrett and Jason Marshall - were red-carded by the referee.

In Zone H, leaders Clarendon College extended their winning streak to seven games with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Edwin Allen in their top-of-the-table clash. Vincent Mitchell got the game's lone goal.

"We won the game but I can tell you that this is the hardest game I have had since I came here to Clarendon," said coach Donovan Duckie. "These parish derby matches come with a lot of excitement and it really brought the best out of both teams today."

The win has lifted Clarendon College to 21 points and within touching distance of a place in the inter-zone round. Despite their loss, Edwin Allen, who remain on 18 points, are still handily placed in their bid to secure an inter-zone place.
