Today's racing takes place at Newmarket, Wetherby, Uttoxeter and Wolverhampton (evening races).
News coming out of England is that the 2010 'Arc' and Epsom Derby winner WORKFORCE is heading for the Breeders' Cup Turf race on Saturday, November 6 at Churchill Downs in Kentucky, USA. The Sir Michael Stoute-trained 3-y-o colt was given the go-ahead after a pleasing workout last weekend.
Today at Newmarket, we like the look of 13-8 ante-post favourite RAGSAH in the E.B.F. Bosra Sham Fillies Stakes to be contested by eight starters.
Trained by Saeed bin Suroor, RAGSAH will be ridden by stable-jockey Frankie Dettori who, yesterday, was involved in two stirring last-furlong duels with champion jockey Ryan Moore, winning both races by a short head. Dettori is taken to beat Moore aboard 3-1 second-favourite SHARNBERRY once again.
Enjoying a bonus
Local punters are still enjoying a bonus on English racing. The member companies of the United Bookmakers Association (UBA) are awarding a 10 per cent bonus on all overseas races on their English programme until December 18.
