Pinchers was known for his outstanding dressing from the very outset of his career, so it was not a surprise that he played the Bandelero character to the hilt.

"Remember, me is a youth is dress code me work with. Me no smoke weed an them ting deh. All my hype and vibes inna my clothes. Me do it different from early out. Me start dress fe come a show. Me no jus' go buy a pants and a shirt," Pinchers said.

So after Bandelero came out and he was preparing for 'The Greatest One Night Show on Earth', Pinchers went into western mode. "Out of all shows, Sting is not a joking place. Me know me good. You haffi like me. Me have suppen 'bout me make you like me. Me songs make you like me. But me have a surprise make you like me too," he said.

And the surprise at that Sting concert was the bandelero outfit. It was not a clash ("Jus a run out," as Pinchers puts it), but he reasons "Ninja come out in Ninja suit. Some people come with half a jacket, half a sleeve. Sometime the paper pick you up".

The outfit has continued to be a surprise, as Pinchers often performs in a different outfit, exits and is back on in a flash as the Bandelero. "We work first and do a quick change. A me have the record for quick change," Pinchers said. "Is a business trick. Is jus' a shroud an' a hat an' you slip you foot in a pair of shoes. A man say 'how him do that'?"

"You have regular artiste out there. Me choose to be original. The girls take on to me because me calm an' me easy, but when me go onstage me is a different man, me is a businessman. The song have that mood and me have to put in the body in it," he said.

'Pinchers' name

Pinchers says many persons called him 'Bandelero' after the song was released, but he points out that "Pinchers a me dominant name because is it me come with".

He was working in a garage and "a man send me in a box for the pliers. Me see some long ting. Me come back with a pointed one and give him. Me say, "Me no see no pliers, a pinchers alone me see'. Him laugh and say, 'Pinchers you name'."

The name rubbed wrong for a while, especially as he was from the 'garrison'. However, he did not protest as he knew it would only stick faster if he protested. Still, "it no die out" and that was the name he took to the stage.
