Western Bureau: The 2010-11 staging of the Jamaica Football Federation's Western Confederation (JFFWC) Captain's Bakery & Grill Western Super Football League, which will feature 12 teams, inclusive of four newcomers, will kick off this afternoon at Jarrett Park, in Montego Bay, with a triple-header.

The games down for contention are Catherine Hall FC against newcomers Cousin's Cove United at 3 p.m.; newcomers Tomorrow's People against Frome FC at 5 p.m. and perennial contenders Seba United against Harmony, the third of the four newcomers, at 7 p.m.

"With a possible place in the 2011-2012 Digicel Premier League at stake, we are anticipating an exciting season," said Marline Brown, the JFFWC competition's director. "All the teams have met their respective obligations so we are ready and raring to go."

Last season was a successful one for the JFFWC as Reno FC, which emerged champions ahead of Seba United, went on to have a successful Digicel Premier League (DPL) qualification tournament, capturing one of the two qualifying places, which has landed them among the teams now contesting the 12-team 2010-11 DPL.
