Three soldiers killed, 3 injured

Bucharest (AP):

Romania's Defence Ministry says three soldiers have died and three have been injured during live ammunition shooting drills. A ministry statement says the incident occurred yesterday at the Cincu shooting range in central Romania.

A shell exploded before clearing the weapon barrel, killing the soldiers who are from the 26th Infantry Battalion. The injured soldiers were transported to a hospital in the town of Fagaras and their condition is stable.
