Depp liked working with Jolie on 'The Tourist'
Johnny Depp was amazed by Angelina Jolie's 'dark' sense of humour.
The handsome actor stars alongside the Oscar-winning actress in the new movie The Tourist and admitted he was initially wary about working with her as he wasn't sure what she'd be like.
He said: "Meeting her and getting to know her was a real pleasant surprise. You don't know what she might be like - if she has any sense of humour at all. I was so pleased to find that she is incredibly normal, and has a wonderful kind of dark, perverse sense of humour."
Depp was so impressed with Jolie, he even likened her to another legendary leading lady, Dame Elizabeth Taylor.
In an interview with Vanity Fair magazine, he said: "I've had the honour and the pleasure and gift of having known Elizabeth Taylor for a number of years. You know, you sit down with her, she slings hash, she sits there and cusses like a sailor, and she's hilarious. Angie's got the same kind of thing, you know, the same approach."
Although Johnny loved working with Angelina, he admits they didn't spend that much time together during filming because they didn't want to bring upon themselves any unwanted attention.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star - who has two children with his partner Vanessa Paradis - said: "We had to hide, sometimes we couldn't even talk to each other in public because someone will take a photograph and it will be misconstrued and turned into some other [expletive]."
Oscars intimidate Hathaway
Anne Hathaway feels intimidated about hosting the Oscars.
The Love and Other Drugs actress is co-hosting next year's 83rd Annual Academy Awards with James Franco and admits she is nervous about the ceremony as very few women have previously been given the honour.
She told 'Entertainment Tonight': "I found out that I'm one of three women to host since ... I think it was 1987. Maybe I'm the fourth, I'm not sure. I'm still learning all the amazing statistics that I almost don't want to know because it gets a little bit too intimidating."
Despite her apprehension, Hathaway is looking forward to the "challenge" of hosting the biggest night in the Hollywood calendar.
She told the New York Post newspaper: "I don't really have a great reason ... I like a challenge. It seems like an incredibly cool and exhilarating thing to do. I'm convinced it will be a nerve-wracking experience."
Academy Awards producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer revealed they selected the two Hollywood stars to host the cere-mony - which will air live on February 27 - because the pair are "fresh, exciting and multitalented".
They said in a statement: "James Franco and Anne Hathaway personify the next generation of Hollywood icons - fresh, exciting and multi-talented. We hope to create an Oscar broadcast that will both showcase their incredible talents and entertain the world on February 27.
"We are completely thrilled that James and Anne will be joining forces with our brilliant creative team to do just that."
