Hit them hard
I believe every sledgehammer should be used to collect taxes in Jamaica. On the other hand, I believe no money must be given to anyone, but the government purchasing agency must purchase those computers send them to Ms Latibeaudiere, then submit those receipts to the rightful department. Payments to staffs, should be done from the financial department, with workers cheques being deposited in their accounts each month.
Allowing people to collect wages today is long gone, unless one is a labourer. Nearly everyone's wages are sent to the bank today. Please use that method.

Use available technology
The Jamaica Government needs to stop the foolishness and contact IBM to order some computers for its tax collection. Thus, IBM would be pleased to do business with the Jamaica Government and I am certain a bargain can be reached. Even some refurbished equipment would be better than nothing.
The Jamaican Government knows it needs the tax funds collected, and with the tourist business collecting government funds, the tax office needs computers, fax machines, copiers/printers, scanners, registers and multi-line phones. So much money to be collected and the Jamaica Government needs not be slack in collecting its money.

RE: Jamaican scientist lands blow in cancer fight
Pray for success
Let's all pray and hope that the clinical trials go well. This would not only be such a huge personal accomplishment for the team, but also for Jamaica and the rest of the world. Think of all the lives that would be saved by this? Breast cancer alone garners such attention worldwide, it has its own month. This is tremendous news. Keep praying.

Protect the information
Congratulations to Dr Lawrence Williams on his achievement. This is remarkable. Please be careful to make sure that the information is well guarded - before someone else claims that they are the ones who conducted the research. I hope that this will be a breakthrough for Jamaica. Much success in your continued effort in the health field.
