SHEFFIELD, England (CMC):

Jamaican international Jermaine Johnson scored as Sheffield Wednesday came from behind to blitz Bristol Rovers 6-2 yesterday and continue second in the English League One standings.

Playing at Hillsborough, the 30-year-old scored a stylish goal in the 31st minute to put Wednesday 4-1 ahead, after Will Hoskins had scored the first of his double after seven minutes to shock the hosts.

Chris Sedgwick started Wednesday's revival in the 10th minute when he poked home a rebound after Clint Morrison forced a fine save out of goalkeeper Mikkel Andersen, as Wednesday drew level.

Wednesday then unleashed three goals in 10 minutes to stun Rovers. Tommy Miller volleyed in from 14-yards after the visitors failed to clear a loose ball in their defence and four minutes later, Gary Teale was on hand to knock in a rebound after Morrison's header had been parried by the keeper.

Johnson capped off the period of dominance with a brilliant goal as he mesmerised the Rovers defence with a superb individual effort before netting.
