'Christmas in the City' finds fashion
If you thought 'Christmas in the City: Downtown Comes Alive' was only about shopping, think again. For the second time, Saint International will be entertaining the country's commercial capital with a hot fashion show.
In keeping with the focus on the downtown business district, models will be styled by the hairdressers and merchants from the area.
Saint International's Chief Executive Officer, Deiwght Peters, told The Gleaner that his organisation is happy to be part of this massive event for the second time and said this year will be even greater.
"I think it is a commendable effort on the part of the Kingston and St Andrew Corporation to revive the energy and concept of downtown Kingston being the central location for shopping. We are very happy to once again be a part of the initiative, this year will be massive," he said.
According to Peters, last year's event had a huge turnout and he is expecting an even bigger crowd since this showcase will highlight "downtown fashion with a high-class undertone". Along with fashionable outfits, shoppers can look out for the best in hairstyles done by cosmetologists who has become part of the downtown landscape. He also said the showcase would represent the talents of those persons who do business in downtown Kingston.
Scouting for new models
In addition to the showcase, Peters said he would also be scouting for new models. "Many of our models came from the inner city and some of them have become very successful," he said.
Peters encouraged everyone to come out on Wednesday, adding that 'Christmas in the City' will be the ultimate shopping experience this holiday season.
