Alpha 'A' thrash Maxfield 57-4

DESPITE heavy rainfall, which forced the cancellation of all Jamaica Netball Association (JNA) matches last week Wednesday at the Leila Robinson courts, action continued on Saturday with a high volume of games and Alpha 'A', Tivoli Gardens 'A' and Mico 'A' recorded the biggest margin of victories.

The Janet Guy-coached Alpha team was the most impressive on the day as they gave Maxfield 'B' a 'hiding' with an impressive 57-4 win.

Fresh off their second-place finish to the University of West Indies (UWI) in the Intercol senior netball competition, the Vanessa Walker-led Mico 'A' were too much for Jetsetters 'B', who they overwhelmed 41-7, while pre-season favourites, Tivoli Gardens 'A' had an easy 38-6 win over Arnett Gardens.

Comfortable wins

There were also comfortable wins for Windalco, which turned back Police 'A' 43-22, Speg 'A', which outclassed Alexander Strikers 38-11 and UWI Revolution 'A' , which easily dispatched Hellshire United 36-7.
