Christmas at the Village
Robert Billings, co-owner, makes something exciting happen at the Village Blues Bar every night of the week. "We start at 4 p.m. and close when the last customer leaves and we cater to adults aged 25-35. We will be open for Christmas Day, too," Billings told Something Extra.
There is a theme every night: Mondays is drinkers' night out - DNO; Tuesday features live music, then there are wing-day Wednesdays followed by Traffic Thursdays when young professionals officially start their weekend; Fridays is after-work jam with comedian Johnny Daley; Saturdays, it's time for rub-a-dub with Donovan Dacres, and Sundays is Henny given Sunday with Hennessy as the preferred drink.

- Many will be jetting off for the holidays. They will be taking time off from their important jobs to be with their families who are ensconced overseas. No, Jamaica is not for wives and children. For the men, it is quite OK to make good money, drive a fancy car, live in a cosy apartment, have a little fling here and there, and then fly off to spend their hard-earned cash.
- Did the wife of the legal luminary try to nick an item from the popular ladies' store? She confessed to amnesia when confronted, but others say this is not the first time.
