Who do you believe?

Published:Friday | December 24, 2010 | 12:00 AM

Either it is that Mayor Desmond McKenzie has a problem with short-term memory, or the WikiLeaks diplomatic cables represent one grand global hoax.

Or, perhaps it is that Mr Isiah Parnell, the chargé d'affaires of the United States mission, not only lied but fabricated dispatches he sent back to his bosses in Washington. Or, at least those that have to do with the mayor's reported intervention in the Christopher 'Dudus' Coke extradition affair.

Mr McKenzie doesn't remember the conversation. Indeed, he never discussed Coke with the Americans.

Now, given Mr McKenzie's position and all that Jamaicans know about our Government's behaviour in this matter, who do you believe?
