This year, Honda will be releasing its CBR 250R motorcycle in the United States. The new bike will be powered by a liquid-cooled 249cc four-stroke, four-valve DOHC single cylinder and will have a six-speed transmission.
The CBR 250R will be the first 250cc road sports bike that will have antilock brake system.
- Mazda 5 makeover
The latest version of the Mazda 5 will be powered by the same engine in the Mazda 3 and Mazda 6.
The MZR 2.5-litre engine produces 157 horsepower (hp) at 6,000 revs per minute and 163-lb ft at 4,000 rpm. A choice of a six-speed manual or a five-speed auto will be able to move the Mazda 5 from rest. Three trim levels of the 5 will be available Sport, Touring and Grand Touring.
Standard safety features include Dynamic Stability Control, traction control, anti-lock brakes, tyre-pressure monitoring, and dual front, front-seat and side curtain airbags which offer protection to all three rows.
- Next-generation Honda NSX
Honda is far advanced into the development of the next-generation Honda NSX coupe sports car.
The NSX will be powered by a 2.4-litre, four-cylinder engine or a 3.5-litre V6 which is estimated to be in the region of 400-hp. Honda's proven version of its SH-AWD system will handle all the traction duties of the mid-engine rear-drive coupe.
The NSX coupe can be can be driven with either a clutch or an engine only, the engine and motor only, or the motor only. It will also offer a manual-transmission option.
If the coupe gets the green light for production, expect to see it in showrooms as early as 2014.
