Online feedback
Below is feedback from online readers of www.jamaica-gleaner.com on the war of words between the Fair Trading Commission and the Jamaica Bankers' Association over bank fees.
let's teach banks a lesson
The banks are raping customers. If there were no customers, there would be no need for banks. The banks know that it is unsafe for people to keep large sums of money at their homes, so they take advantage of the situation. Customers need to withdraw their money and see what these money grabbers do.

tell us the whole story
All the banks have to do is to release their justification for the fees so the public can understand how the fees are calculated.
If the costs are really that high to lead to those fees, I can't see anyone disagreeing with the fees. However, if the fees do turn out to be calculated in a way that is significantly more than costs, we have an issue.

biggest extortionists
What the general public may not know is that besides government, the banks and insurance companies are the world's largest bodies of extortionists, not only in Jamaica. Bank systems and polices are designed to make CEOs become big fat cats to fly in golden parachutes at the mercy of the middle class and the extremely poor and less fortunate.
Banks do not like to hear the word 'regulation', except for the ones they set for themselves to exploit the poor.
