Apparently drawn by the allure of the young professionals who make up the 'Ochi' Corporate networking club, the St Ann's Bay branch of National Commercial Bank (NCB) led by Manager Kevin Ingram, not only sponsored, but had staff members out in their numbers at the recent social held at Margaritaville, Ocho Rios.

Also on board to support the initiative were Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort Spa and Conference Centre, Margaritaville, Jamaica Inn, Beaches Boscobel, Johnny Walker Black, Baileys, Red Stripe, through the Diageo Group, and National Housing Trust (St Ann branch).

NCB sponsorship notwithstanding, Scotiabank staff were well represented, so too Digicel, Irie FM and many others.

Ochi Corporate is the brainchild of Sunset Jamaica Grande's General Manager Clifton Reader and seeks to provide young professionals an opportunity to enjoy good company, meet new people and create business opportunities.

And in the words of NCB's Denneisha Blair, who has been at the forefront of promoting the club since its inception less than a year ago: "Ochi Corporate offers a forum that encourages links with business professionals, explores new business opportunities, enlarges contact listings, creates a fun atmosphere where participants have a good time while making business connections and help form strategic partnerships with other successful professionals, entrepreneurs and business owners."

Scores of young professionals, including several doctors from the St Ann's Bay Hospital, enjoyed the evening playing games, snacking on the tasty offerings provided and, of course, making business contacts.
