Online feedback
Below is feedback from online readers of www.jamaica-gleaner.com on the issue of the commission of enquiry into the Manatt and Dudus extradition controversies.
Will the PM resign?
It is quite apparent that the Government sullied our character internationally to protect Dudus. But my question is this: Will we have to wait for an election to see the back of Bruce, or will he do the honourable thing, with his lieutenants, and resign? This is an utter disgrace.

What about a statement from Dudus?
Wouldn't a statement from Dudus be worthwhile? All of this could not be happening without him. I know he will have his day in court, but wouldn't it be interesting if that was possible? Think about it!

Waste of money
What will this commission of enquiry prove? We all know what was transpiring all along. I was informed that this enquiry will cost about $40 million, money that could be used for something more profitable, e.g. health care, education, etc.

Gov't hoped to keep issue quiet
It is now becoming clear that it was always the intent of the Government to stymie the Dudus extradition process, if not to quash it. It is even more obvious that Golding led the effort to obstruct and derail the process to protect Dudus.
This was never a JLP initiative but a government strategy. It is shameful that the press has allowed the Government to bamboozle the people of Jamaica without suffering any consequences. As long as our politicians rule as kings and see Jamaica as their fiefdom, this type of despicable behaviour will continue to the detriment of the country.

The truth comes to light
Yes, the fowls are coming home to roost. How could Dorothy say she knew nothing about the affair when she was one of the main characters during the extradition saga? Interesting times ahead. My granny would say, "Story a come to bump."
