Jamaica beat Somerset

Jamaica defeated Somerset by 61 runs in Group A of the Caribbean Twenty20 competition at Kensington Oval in Barbados yesterday.
Scores: Jamaica 85 for one, Somerset 24 for eight.
In a match reduced by rain to just six overs per team, Jamaica, put in to to bat, were lifted to 85 for one by a blistering unbeaten knock of 45 from opener Marlon Samuels. Samuels hit four fours and three sixes. He got good support from Danza Hyatt, who made 21 with two fours and a six.
When Somerset batted they were in trouble early, losing three wickets in the first three overs and never recovered. Krishmar Santokie and Nikita Miller each took two wickets for four runs.
