Jamaica's Dixon elected vice-president of CAZOVA
President of the Jamaica Volleyball Association, Warrenton Dixon, was elected second vice-president of the Caribbean Zonal Volleyball Association (CAZOVA) at the regional congress on Sunday in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
Trinidad and Tobago's Mushtaque Mohammed was re-elected to serve another four-year term as president with with US Virgin Islands Lucille Hobson chosen to serve as first vice-president.
Mohammed has served in the top position for the last 17 years.
Haiti's Margarette Graham (secretary); Curacao's Eric Ojenia (treasurer); T&T's Daymian Stewart (executive director) and board members, Martiniquan Philipe Lerus and Rudolph Augustin of Suriname, will all sit on the executive.
Activity report presented
Prior to the election of officials Mohammed, along with general secretary Kevin Eddison Stewart, presented an activity report that was supported by member countries and NORCECA under the theme 'Equitable Opportunity and Enhanced Activity'.
In attendance at the congress were representatives from Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Cayman Islands, Curacao, Bonaire, Haiti, Jamaica, Turks & Caicos, Mar-tinique, Guyana, Suriname, US Virgin Islands and host T&T.
