Seba, Wadadah in mid-season final

Former national champions Seba United and Wadadah will be gunning for the first title of the 2010/11 Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) Western Confederation season this coming Sunday afternoon at Jarrett Park in Montego Bay, when they square off in The Captain's Bakery & Grill Western Super League mid-season final.
Seba United, who qualified a week ago after moving to 23 points, were joined in the final at the weekend by Wadadah, who beat Frome 2-1 to move up to 25 points.
In their weekend game, the unbeaten Seba United defeated Tomorrow's People 3-1 to remain atop the 12-team competition with 26 points - from eight wins and two draws in 10 games.
In their game against Frome FC, who are third in the competition's standings, the Daniel Ricketts-coached Wadadah had to dig deep to take all three points.
Wadadah took a second-minute lead, courtesy of Isaac Brown, but Frome drew level in the 65th through Adrian Robinson.
However, like he has done in all 10 games Wadadah have played, star striker Curtis Palmer produced a goal in the 69th minute to secure his team's victory and a place in the final.
"My plan this season is that no Wadadah game will be over until I score at least one goal," said Palmer, a former St James High School star striker.
He added: "In the mid-season final against Seba United, I will be working real hard to get at least two goals."
Seba Dominate
In their game, the Danilo Barrigga-coached Seba United had things much their own way against the Anthony 'Follies' Williams-coached Tomorrow's People, and with better finishing could have come away with a much wider margin of victory.
Kemar James opened the scoring for Seba in the ninth minute and made it 2-0 in the 28th with his second goal of the game. Phillip McDonald pulled Tomorrow's People back into the contest when he scored in the 76th, but Dwayne Ambersley struck again for Seba in the 86th, making the final score 3-1.
Points tally: Seba 26, Wadadah 25, Frome 17, Granville 16, Montpelier 16, Harmony 12, Tomorrow's People 11, Catherine Hall 12, Russia 8, Bamboo 7, Cousins Cove 6 and Exidos 4.
