West Indies and Jamaica Women batting all-rounder Stafanie Taylor's outstanding performances in the just-concluded one-day international (ODI) series against India have lifted her to No. 2 in the ICC Reliance Mobile ODI Women's batting and all-rounder rankings, and number seven in the bowling rankings.
The 19-year-old, who scored a series-leading 220 runs and claimed nine wickets, has moved two places up the batting rankings, one up the all-rounder, and six up the bowling in what are her best rankings to date.
The RJR Sportswoman of the Year nominee is now ranked one place in the batting category behind India's Mithali Raj, who continues to lead the rankings after scoring 171 during the series, including an unbeaten century. Australia's Shelley Nitschke is third.
In the all-rounder segment, Taylor is ranked a place below Nitschke, and one above Australian Lisa Sthalekar. The bowling section is being led Nitschke with Sthalekar in second and England's Laura Marsh third.
Meanwhile, apart from Taylor, other West Indians who made significant moves in the rankings were captain, Trinidad and Tobago off-spinner Anisa Mohammed, and top-order batter, Jamaica's Shanel Daley.
Mohammed took eight for 129 during the series and is now ranked at 12th in the bowler rankings, while Daley, who had an outstanding series with the bat, jumped 27 places and is now ranked at 30th.
The West Indies and India yesterday travelled to Ahmedabad where they are scheduled to contest three Twenty20 Internationals tomorrow, Sunday and Monday.
