Going Green!
Laranzo Dacres, Sunday Gleaner Writer
With gas purchases forming a significant part of a motorist's monthly expenses, any savings in such expenditure would be good news. And distributors P and R Trading says they have the product that will do just that - the Greentech Fuel Saving Device.
"What we are offering is a device, with a one-time installation exercise, that will last for over 10 years. It will save you money, fuel and - best of all - is a 'green' product," said Presley Williams, director of P and R Trading.
The device comprises two pieces — the larger part being the Greentech Molecule Enhancer which is placed directly in the gas tank, and the Greentech Air Refining Device, which is installed in the air intake tube, or inside the air filter housing.
"This results in better fuel efficiency, reduced harmful emissions, added horsepower and a smoother running engine. Also, your car instantly becomes an environmentally friendly, 'green' car," Williams said.
"The device has been tested and proven countless times by testing facilities across the globe. One such environmental testing laboratory is the California Environmental Engineering (CEE) and they did verify - with a high level of confidence - the viability of the technology," Williams quoted from a document detailing a report from CEE.
Different models
"Our device is now selling at an introductory price of $13,500," said Shawn Lawrence, product distributor for P and R Trading. "They come in different models, which have different fuel capacity. We provide models for diesel and gasolene vehicles. Some operate with less than 100 litres of gas, while others work with less than 200 litres."
The Greentech Molecule Enhancer results in better fuel efficiency and the Greentech Air Refining Device ultimately generates more horsepower and torque.
Williams said from a survey he conducted he found that a motorist in Jamaica spent an average of $5,000 per week on fuel.
"With our device, we project yearly savings of about $26,000, at a 10 per cent fuel reduction rate per year," he said.
"The savings for gasolene is 10 to 20 per cent, while there is a 10 to 15 per cent reduction on diesel fuel with the device. But, of course, there would be different level of savings for each make of vehicle, and that would also depend on how often the car is serviced," Williams added.
Lawrence said the technology is not an additive, therefore it does not affect the fuel or the vehicle's warranty.
Passed by BSJ
She stated the device, which is manufactured in Taiwan, has also been passed by the Bureau of Standards Jamaica Ltd.
The device is available at Cotterell's Texaco in Cross Roads, St Andrew.
