None Such Awards February 10

The 22nd annual None Such/Horse of the Year awards function will be held at the Carib 5 cinema, Cross Roads, on Thursday, February 10, starting at 7:30 p.m.

For this renewal, the organisers (CTL) have changed the format somewhat, in that they will use the occasion to premiere the highly acclaimed motion picture, Secretariat, which was released in the United States late last year. The film depicts the life and times of the legendary racehorse, affectionately called 'Big Red', who won the American Triple Crown in 1973.

Awards, including 'Horse of the Year', champion jockey, champion trainer, champion owner, champion groom and the coveted None Such award for lifetime achievement will be presented during the cocktail hour preceding the movie.
