Local auto dealer, Toyota Jamaica, intends to contribute a portion of its money from new-vehicle sales to island's agricultural sector.

Toyota Jamaica's commitment should see the dealership donating $2,000 from each new vehicle sold over the next two years to the 4-H movement. The money will be handed over monthly.

A memorandum of understanding was signed last Tuesday between John Connell, managing director of Toyota Jamaica, and Dr Christopher Tufton, agriculture minister, at the ministry's Hope Gardens, St Andrew, office. The first $200,000 was handed over to Tufton by Connell last Tuesday.
