Deejays Vybz Kartel and Tifa were the big winners at Saturday night's Youth View Awards, raking in five and four awards respectively.

The deejays made numerous appearances on stage as they collected and thanked fans who came out at the National Indoor Sports Centre for the fourth staging of the event.

With exciting performances and fashion, there were a number of memorable moments at the awards such as the acceptance speech from Voicemail's Craig Jackson, after they won best group. Jackson dedicated the award to fallen member Oneil Edwards and thanked the fans, promising more for 2011.

A lighter moment came from Ding Dong who jumped on his chair when he won the 'Young, Hot and Hype (Male)' title over Vybz Kartel as he said, "yo Addi yuh finally lose one."

Hosted by ZJ Bambino and 106 and Park's Rocsi, the event ran smoothly as the artistes and patrons came out in their fashionable best.

Kartel made a surprise appearance and performance that had most of the centre on its feet for Straight Jeans and Fitted, Cakesoap among others.

Tifa likewise gave an exciting performance that closed the night as she did a medley of Move Yuh Body, Cyaan Stop Shine, Certified Divas with Tami Chynn among others. The young diva showcased her performing skills as she danced and even did a little gymnastics as she was thrown into the air.

Performances

Dancing was a big part of the show with scene-stealing performances from young dance acts.

Denyque kicked off the night followed by singer Raine Seville, who returned to the stage for the first time since giving birth. The singer did a tribute to Bob Marley, singing I Wanna Be Loved, backed by a live band.

Khago took to the stage with an energetic rendition of Nah Sell Out, White Tees and Addidas as well as performing his tribute to Coppercat.

Munga also delivered a number of his hits like Buss It Like An Earthquake, Clean and Fresh among others.

Ce'Cile brought something different to her act, as her performance started with a very young female dancer who danced alongside the singjay for Whoot Whoot, Cyaan Done before exiting for two suggestive male dancers for Coffee.

Richie Loop and a slew of dancers followed for My Cupp, and was later joined by D-Major for Party Like It's Your Birthday.

Ikaya's strong voice brought a touch of consciousness to the stage for Hard Way while Bambino brought humour with his Trevor Off Key personality.

The YVA's entertainment package kicked off with the red carpet with performances from Keida and Shawn Storm, with DJ Naz creating the right musical vibe.
