Claro/INSPORTS football goes to Addison Park

Meadows and Young City will play in the 3:00 p.m. feature game of an Addison Park double-header, as action continues in the Claro/INSPORTS All-Island Community Football Championship today.

Preceding the main event will be the clash between Enfield and Knapdale which starts at 1:00 p.m.

The St Ann venue takes the spotlight with spectators from the Brown's Town community and its immediate environs getting a chance to win a number of Claro paraphernalia throughout the course of the day, through the telecommunication company's match-day promotions.

Fans of this exciting competition can also watch the feature game delayed on local cable network, Cable News and Sports the following Thursday (6 p.m.) and Saturday (3 p.m.).

Elsewhere in the parish, Ocho Rios Sports Club are at home to Union Street at Buckfield, while Benfica tackle Mammee Bay in the feature clash.

Over in St Thomas, Yorkshire await defending local champions Winchester at Eastern Sports Complex, Brooksland Black Scorpion entertain Rangers at York Sports Complex, Iyante travel to Phillipsfield where they will play Bushy Park All Stars, while two matches at Cotton Tree Oval will see Bath Mineral Youths challenging Future Youths before Green Hills lock horns with St Thomas Police.

Two matches are down for contention in Portland. Dobson Scheme play Woodstock at Charles Town while Martin Luther hope to have a dream run against Orange Bay at Caenwood. Both matches start at 3:30 p.m.

St Elizabeth has eight games scheduled with Pepper and Warminster hosting Cheapside and Baalbec respectively at Alpart. Valley Uplifters visit Dalton at Santa Cruz Community Centre, while Burnt Savannah goes to Burton at Mountainside. Elim are down to take on Appleton, parish champions E-3 host Balaclava, while Hodges Land await Parottee before Crawford play Hopewell at Crawford.

The competition continues tomorrow with a number of matches slated to be played across the island.

Several teams in Kingston and St Andrew, St Catherine, Portmore and Westmoreland will be fighting for a berth into the local round of 16, as the preliminary round draws to a close.
